Hats! And crochet!

“Why didn’t we think of it before, lad? The solution to all our storage problems” — not mind manipulation a la Wallace and Gromit, but crochet!!! Crochet eats yarn, and little hats eat yarn oddments! Beanies also eat random balls of fingering weight merino! On assignment from Mum, I made Little Things, Truffle, and mashed up Thorpe with Lassie for a cousin undergoing chemotherapy, in addition to the Pippilotta-esque ponytailed hat; and, thus inspired, worked my way through a stripey beanie for Knoll, an owl hat for a friend’s toddler, and a baby hat for another friend.

That’s most of the fingering weight superwash and sport weight superwash gone, then 🙂
