Blocking, you are my nemesis and I hate you

I almost finished my second iteration of Cherries and Fairies (bad pics here of the original version in blurple), blocked it (horribly) and then decided that the edging lacked…something. A visit to the frog pond has ensued.

In the meantime, here’s a distraction: I have eaten the plums that were in the icebox, a mindless garter shawl that used every inch of some of the cable-plied yarns from the previous post and then finished with a wide border in Tosh Sock in the colourway Duchess.

This yarn is spun from the Golden Monkey batts by Luthvarian Fiber Arts. The intention was to use them for a design called Westfold Wheat but I think the yardage is too much on the short side. Still, it was a dream to spin and surely it will inspire a different design.
